What we place for

Apex Maids places foreign domestic workers in Singapore for housekeeping, cooking, infant and child care, elderly care, and pet care — usually a combination rather than one. Most households need a mix, and the combination is what decides who actually fits: a helper who is excellent with a newborn is not automatically the right person to run a large house, and one who cooks beautifully may not be confident walking a big dog. We shortlist against the whole brief, not a single job title.

Cleaning, laundry, ironing, linen and the household marketing. The match is about pace and standard, not the task list — a five-room flat with two working adults is a different job from a landed house with three generations in it.
Housekeeping placements →
Compare which dishes the candidate has actually cooked, for how many people and for how long. Discuss your household cuisine and dietary requirements during the video interview; preferences alone do not establish experience.
How to brief and test for cooking →
Ask which ages she has cared for and what duties she handled. Check relevant references or training separately from MOM placement history. Newborn care — night feeds, sterilising, safe sleep — is a different job from a five-year-old, with far less margin for error.
What to check before you decide →
These succeed or fail on an honest description of the condition — mobility, personal care, medication, cognition and nights. Households with an elderly member also frequently qualify for the concessionary levy and never claim it.
How to brief elderly care →
Feeding, walking, litter and grooming alongside the household work. Plenty of helpers say they are fine with pets; fewer are comfortable walking a large dog daily, and some would rather not.

Apex Maids serves households across Singapore. You can share your brief over WhatsApp, review biodata and interview shortlisted candidates by video call. You do not need to live near our Jurong West base. Start with the duties and experience your household needs, then compare the hiring routes:
Use our helper interview checklist to prepare a consistent brief and compare candidate answers across all five household roles.
Tell us who lives at home, the main care duties, languages spoken, cooking and housekeeping expectations, and your preferred start date. We use that brief to check suitable candidates and arrange interviews before you decide. Browse Apex's helper biodata, then ask us to confirm availability and suitability. A profile being listed does not confirm an immediate start.
Before committing, review the cost breakdown and the written fees, replacement and refund terms for your placement. Our hiring guide explains the steps from choosing a helper through paperwork and arrival.
We place helpers from Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Mizoram (India) and Cambodia. Tell us the languages your household speaks and the duties that matter most. Read our pages on hiring an Indonesian helper, Myanmar helper, Filipino helper or Mizoram helper. The helper nationalities guide explains how to compare candidates without treating nationality as a shortcut for skill.
Almost nobody hires for one duty. The realistic question is what the whole week looks like — and whether it is achievable for one person. A newborn plus a large home plus daily cooking usually is not, and we would rather say that during the brief than have the placement fail in month two. Ask for a candidate-specific written quotation; experience, the hiring route and agreed arrangements can affect costs. See what hiring a helper actually costs.

Questions
Often yes, but be realistic about volume. A newborn plus a large home plus three cooked meals a day is more than one person can sustain well. Tell us the full weekly picture and we will say honestly whether it is achievable.
Yes — infant care, dementia experience, a particular cuisine, comfort with dogs. The narrower the requirement the smaller the shortlist, but a good match on the thing that matters most usually outlasts a broader compromise.
Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Mizoram (India) and Cambodia. Language is often the deciding factor, particularly for elderly care where being able to converse matters as much as the physical tasks.
They should be agreed before she starts and set out clearly. Duties added silently after arrival are the most common source of a placement breaking down in the first few months.
