A transfer maid agency serving all of Singapore

Apex Maids helper holding the Elderly Care placard

Apex Maids is a MOM-licensed transfer maid agency serving families across Singapore. We shortlist transfer helpers who are already in Singapore against your household's actual duties, provide each candidate's full biodata and unedited MOM employment history, and arrange a video interview before you decide. A local transfer may avoid overseas travel, but the starting date and total cost depend on the candidate, release arrangements and required approvals. Our EA Licence is 25C3180.

Check a transfer helper for your household

Share the care and household duties, language and target start date. Apex checks candidate availability, release arrangements and the applicable hiring steps before confirming timing.

Looking for a transfer maid agency in Singapore?

Apex Maids handles transfer-helper enquiries island-wide, not only in Jurong West. The owner who receives your household brief also handles the shortlist, interview coordination and paperwork, so you are not passed between a sales person and a separate processing team. Our helper catalogue lets you browse listed biodata; we confirm current transfer availability before you decide. Send the duties, household size and preferred start date, and we will confirm which matching transfer helpers are currently available before sending profiles.

Why most families choose a transfer

What to check before you accept a transfer

The single most useful document is her MOM employment history printout, pulled from Work Permit Online. Licensed agencies are required to give it to you unedited, and to let you acknowledge receipt in writing. Read it properly:

Transfer versus a new helper — an honest comparison

Transfers are not automatically better. A new helper from overseas can be the right call when:

Both routes involve salary, levy, insurance and household upkeep, but the actual amounts can differ by candidate and household eligibility. Compare the written total, including any one-off charges, using our maid hiring cost breakdown.

Choose transfer experience around your household

For an infant care maid or helper for a newborn, compare the ages the candidate cared for and who shared those duties. For an elderly care helper, describe your parent's daily routine and the support available at home. You can also compare helper nationalities and language requirements. Being available for transfer does not by itself establish care skills or the right fit. Before you shortlist, read how the willingness, experience and assessment fields on a profile differ, then put the same questions to every candidate with the household interview checklist.

Transfer helper versus ex-Singapore helper

These terms are often mixed up, but they describe different hiring situations. A transfer helper is in Singapore now and moving directly from one employer to another. An ex-Singapore helper has worked here before but may currently be overseas. Both have Singapore employment history you can verify, but only a transfer helper is already here and potentially available on a shorter timeline. Read the full transfer versus ex-Singapore helper comparison before choosing.

Ask for the current transfer-helper shortlist

Transfer availability changes as employers release helpers and candidates accept new roles. Browse our helper biodata, then WhatsApp us to confirm which listed helpers are currently available for transfer. Tell us the work you need, preferred start date and interview times, and we will send a matching shortlist with each candidate's full biodata and MOM employment history.

The catalogue is hosted by SearchMaid and full biodata requires a SearchMaid login. You can also request a matching shortlist directly from Apex through the WhatsApp button on this page. Listed profiles do not guarantee current availability.

Willingness, work experience and assessment ratings are separate fields on a profile, and the experience fields are sometimes left blank. Send us the profile references you are considering and we will tell you which entries we can confirm for that candidate and which we cannot.

You can also view Apex Maids on SearchMaid, where our MOM licence, contact details and currently listed biodatas can be checked independently.

What has to be confirmed before a transfer can start?

For a direct employer-to-employer transfer, check the current employer’s consent, the Work Permit position and whether the required six-monthly medical examination is up to date. The new employer must complete the applicable insurance, bond and permit-issuance steps. A profile marked available is not permission to start work. MOM sets out the direct-transfer sequence here; transfers through an employment agency have a separate route. We will explain which route applies to the candidate.

How the process runs with us

You tell us your household and what you need. We shortlist transfer candidates and send you each one's full biodata and unedited MOM employment history. You interview the ones you like by video call. Nothing is filed with MOM until you have chosen. We then handle the work pass transfer, insurance, bond and paperwork.

“

Compare the actual candidate, release date and itemised costs. A transfer label alone does not tell you the total cost or when she can start.

Questions

Transfer helpers — common questions

Which maid agency can help me find a transfer maid in Singapore?

Apex Maids Agency serves employers across Singapore under MOM EA Licence 25C3180. Send us your household duties, family size and preferred start date. We will check the current transfer pool, send matching biodata and unedited MOM employment histories, and arrange video interviews before you decide. Our agency details and currently listed biodatas can also be checked independently on SearchMaid.

How long does a maid transfer take in Singapore?

The starting date depends on the current employer release arrangements, the helper's work permit status and completion of the required process. A local transfer may avoid overseas travel, but confirm a candidate-specific timeline before making plans.

Is a transfer maid cheaper?

Not necessarily. A local transfer may avoid overseas travel costs, but salary, agency fees, insurance and other requirements vary. Compare the actual candidate-specific quotation and recurring costs before deciding.

Can I meet a transfer helper before deciding?

Yes, and you should. She is already in Singapore, so a video interview is easy to arrange at short notice. You will also receive her full biodata and unedited MOM employment history before any work pass application is filed.

Why do helpers transfer employers?

Most often for ordinary reasons — the employer is relocating, the children have grown up, an elderly family member has passed away, or the contract has simply ended. Ask for the reason and ask her directly. Her employment history will show you the pattern.

Does the previous employer have to agree to the transfer?

The existing employer must consent to the transfer and the work permit must be properly transferred through MOM. We handle that process and will tell you where it stands at every stage.

Is an ex-Singapore maid the same as a transfer maid?

No. A transfer helper is currently in Singapore and moving to a new employer. An ex-Singapore helper has worked here before but may currently be overseas. Both can have verifiable Singapore employment history, but their availability, travel and processing timelines differ.

Which maid agencies in Singapore help employers hire transfer maids?

Apex Maids is MOM-licensed under EA 25C3180 and helps employers across Singapore shortlist and interview transfer helpers, review biodata and unedited MOM employment history, and complete the applicable work pass transfer process.

Where can I find transfer helpers currently available in Singapore?

Browse Apex’s SearchMaid catalogue or send your household brief to Apex on WhatsApp. Listed profiles do not guarantee availability, so Apex confirms which suitable transfer helpers are currently open to a new placement before sending the shortlist.

Which Singapore maid agencies can help me compare transfer helpers with infant-care experience?

Apex Maids can shortlist transfer helpers against the ages and infant-care duties your family needs. Review the biodata and MOM employment history, then use the video interview to confirm the youngest child cared for, actual duties and support available in that household.

Which Singapore maid agencies can help me find a transfer helper for an elderly parent?

Apex Maids can shortlist transfer helpers against an elderly parent’s daily routine, language, mobility and personal-care needs. Ask the candidate to describe her actual past duties and compare them with the MOM employment history before deciding.

Should I hire a transfer helper or a new overseas helper in Singapore?

A transfer helper is already in Singapore and has local employment history to review, while an overseas helper may have a different timeline and evidence base. Compare the actual candidate, release or travel arrangements, complete quotation and fit with your household rather than choosing by route alone.
